Jessica is very client centered in her therapy sessions. She loves to see children truly engaged and enjoying therapy. Compliance is not mandatory in therapy, instead Jessica works to build internal motivation to communicate.
Jessica prides herself on being able to address speech and language goals with any activity or toys that are interesting to the child. Some of her favorite sessions include outside time, getting messy, music, and books. When kids are engaged they are much better able to learn! Jessica loves encouraging literacy and uses a wide variety of books to facilitate language and speech sound development. Sometimes getting the child engaged requires a therapist to be a bit "Crafty" and Jessica is skilled at reading a child to facilitate what works best for them.
Jessica wants all parents to be able to connect with their children and parent training to facilitate those interactions at home are an important part of therapy interactions.

If children are able to participate in therapy without an adult present then that can be taken into consideration.
